Alex Baranowski is a composer, arranger and sound designer based in Central London. A 2005 graduate of Paul McCartney’s LIPA, he recently worked with electro duo Underworld for Danny Boyle’s Frankenstein at the National Theatre. A regular contributor to the National, he was also composer for Hamlet directed by NT artistic director Nicholas Hytner and Earthquakes in London directed by Rupert Goold. Other theatre projects include: The Merchant of Venice (RSC); The Faith Machine (Royal Court); Salt Root and Roe (DonmarWarehouse); Othello, Hobson’s Choice (Sheffield Crucible); and Herding Cats (Theatre Royal Bath). He has also recently composed the music for 2Faced Dance’s In The Dust showing at the 2011 Edinburgh Fringe with a subsequent UK tour.
